The image is a disaster, as I said, a table of plastic covers to get it from the heat, protecting, etc., but now it's the color and draw, paint when I leave the cloth of his band all the table, as a full search mess :-( I wish I had never started, as the picture was ok, but dated. I can not paint that picture, if someone sitting, and we have family coming for Christmas. I can not even yours, Buy a new one, it looks like a disaster. Can anyone help? Is there a sealer or something I can use is to stop painting? urgently need a solution, and we appreciate any help you can offer . Thank you for your time x

If you completely in the painting is the picture of what to do. Remove all the old colors and finish. It is probably not with the stripper herself when she is strong enough. Tip # 1, not outdoors or in well-ventilated. An extractor of the marine environment quality is the most suitable, because it is strong enough. ! Wear gloves!
Once is all wood is as empty as possible, wipe with alcohol and let dry. Each sand with 150 sandpaper to sand. On smooth surfaces such as seats and a table, be sure to sand with the grain. Tip # 2, each time you for a wood finish, it does not matter if a clear surface, let dry completely, such as polyurethane or varnish or paint or primer, before you continue. When all the sand, one with a seal of good quality manual /. Bullseye is great. When painting with black, you might want the first color to dark gray. Once the primer completely dry sand lightly with 220 or 320 sandpaper and remove dust or persons with a possible commpressor air, if possible. Juin black and take time, patience pays more than if you give shots.

You have to remove the largest part of the first paintings. The repainting of the entire table. Let it dry completely ... When you touch and see your fingerprints, then it is not dry. Once completely dry, you can buy a transparent varnish. Apply in layers that you want (the more the better) to let each layer dry completely before the next one. Be sure to read the instructions carefully painted ... which can be difficult if you've never used before.

My guess is - the old table already has a definitive evidence was probably the paint pine. Rule No. 1 - You can not paint laytex on a painting with an oil - laytex the case with every touch anything.
Laytex for the walls is great, but the furniture, if you have found to paint, you need an oil painting called enamel. With all the problems would have described you, I use a paint remover and free to the target was not painted on the table and chairs with oil paint or scratches in the sand and match marks on the table and chairs, painted and looks better. The appearance of solid wood is something that will always be in style. In fact, if the table is very old, probably old value to be much more complete with its original!
