Borax is toxic, it works, but you keep your dogs on the carpet.
I use salt on my carpet, great works.
Vacuum your carpets very well at first, moving living room, etc., and the void below.
Salts across your carpet and leave between 2-7 days, then vacuum.
You can also return the knife into the carpet with Broome.
Another good idea is equal parts salt and bi-carb mix.
Important do not use, when salt theres a lot of moisture in the air.
